During his four year term as a member of the North Hills School District, he saved taxpayers millions of dollars through a consolidation of schools resulting in newer facilities, smaller classrooms and a better teacher to student ratio.
Matt Drozd stands ready to serve the people of Allegheny County.
He has a long history of service to our country and extensive experience in both the business and public sectors.
He provided critical information to NORAD for the defense of our country while serving at the Pentagon. As a Lt Colonel in the Air Force Reserves; he served for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Secretary of Defense, and at the State Department. Matt has twice received the Defense Meritorious Service Award.
While working for a regional economic development group, he was instrumental in helping to create approximately 20,000 jobs for Southwestern Pennsylvania. As one of the top fund raisers for Penn State University, he raised over $40 million to benefit college students.
A current resident of the North Hills and former resident of the City of Pittsburgh and Steel Valley, Matt holds Bachelors & Masters degrees in Business Administration from Duquesne University and has taught in the Graduate Schools of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and Robert Morris.
